Fortinet Server Authentication Extension (FSAE) is Fortinet’s legacy identity-awareness agent, now commonly referred to as Fortinet Single Sign-On (FSSO). It links your Windows Active Directory environment with Fortinet security appliances so you can enforce identity-based policies without repeatedly prompting users to authenticate. By monitoring logon events and mapping usernames and groups to IP addresses in near real time, it gives FortiGate, FortiProxy, and related products reliable user visibility for access control, web filtering, and auditing.
Key capabilities include:
Typical deployment places the Collector Agent on a Windows server (often a domain member) and, optionally, lightweight agents on domain controllers. The result is streamlined administration, fewer authentication prompts, and consistent security controls that follow users across the network.
Fortinet Server Authentication Extension is developed by Fortinet Inc.. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 3.0 and 3.5. The names of program executable files are uninstalldcagent.exe, FSAEConfig.exe and installdcagent.exe.
